چکیده
A practical review of the use of laser ablation lor the deposition of thin films of oxide superconductors and metals is presented. Details of the design and operation of a laser ablation deposition system are discussed, together with the influence of operating parameters such as laser wavelength and power density on the film growth, with the a:m of assisting the researcher oeginning to use andlor study laser ablation deposition.

Pulsed Laser Deposition of Oxides
As a materials processing technique, laser ablation was utilized for the first time in the 1960's, after the first commercial ruby laser was invented. Nevertheless, as a thin film growth method it did not attract much research interest until the late 1980 ́s, when it has been used for growing high temperature superconductor films. Since then, the development of the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) ...
متن کاملCharacterization of nanostructured SnO2 thin film coated by Ag nanoparticles
Nanostructured SnO2 thin films were prepared using Electron Beam-Physical Vapor Deposition (EB-PVD) technique. Then Ag nanoparticles synthesized by laser-pulsed ablation were sprayed on the films. In order to form a homogenous coated of SnO2 on the glass surface, it was thermally treated at 500°C for 1 h. At this stage, the combined layer on the substrate was completely dried for 8 h in the air...
متن کاملDependence of Magnetic Properties on Laser Ablation Conditions for Epitaxial La_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}MnO_{3} Thin Films Grown by Pulsed Laser Deposition
Epitaxial La0:6Sr0:4MnO3 (LSMO) thin films were grown by pulsed laser deposition. Relationships between magnetic properties of LSMO epitaxial thin films and ablation conditions such as ablated spot area and total incident laser energy in a pulsed laser deposition technique were studied. Ablated spot area was controlled by changing the focus lens position and total laser energy. Epitaxial growth...

10 We report on a time-of-flight mass spectrometric study of laser fluence dependencies in the 532 nm ablation of SnO2 targets. At all fluences investigated, SnO and Sn2O2 are the primary neutral gas-phase species. The relative yield of neutral tin-containing species increases exponentially up to a fluence of ∼1.9 × 108 W cm−2, and saturates at higher fluences. The yield of metal oxide clusters...
